DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in cFTP, which can be exploited
by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due to an improper authorisation check in
includes/userlevel_check.php when certain cookie parameters (e.g.
"access" and "userlevel") are set to certain values. This can be
exploited to perform certain actions with e.g. administrative
privileges and e.g. create an administrative user.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.1 r80. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure proper authorisation.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
Simon Leblanc within a cFTP bug report.
