DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in FreeRealty, which
can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion
attacks and by malicious people to conduct cross-site request forgery
and SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed via the "view" parameter to agentdisplay.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed via the "title", "previewdesc", "fulldesc", and
"notes" POST parameters to agentadmin.php when creating or updating a
property listing is not properly sanitised before being used. This can
be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be
executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site
when the malicious data is being viewed.
3) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP
requests without performing any validity checks to verify the
requests. This can be exploited to e.g. create an arbitrary user with
administrative privileges if a logged-in administrative user visits a
malicious web site.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 3.1-0.6. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised. Do
not browse untrusted sites or follow untrusted links while being
logged-in to the application.
