CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting

WHERE:

SOFTWARE:
eTicket 1.x
https://secunia.com/product/14665/

DESCRIPTION:
Omer Singer has discovered two vulnerabilities in eTicket, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion
attacks.

Input passed via the "Name" and "Subject" parameters when opening a
ticket is not properly sanitised before being stored. This can be
exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which is then
executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site
when the malicious ticket is viewed.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.5.5.2 and 1.5.6-RC3.
Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a web proxy.
