DESCRIPTION:
prdelka has discovered a vulnerability in Citadel, which can be
exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the
"makeuserkey()" function in user_ops.c. This can be exploited to
cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long argument to
the "RCPT TO" SMTP command.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 7.10. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 7.24.
