DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Elvin, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "inUser" and "inEmail" parameter in
createaccount.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL
queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed to the "priority" and "component" parameter in
buglist.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL
queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code.
Note: This may also be exploited to conduct cross-site scripting and
script insertion attacks.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.2.2. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
