DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in M3U/M3L To ASX/WPL, which can
be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
file names included in opened playlists. This can be exploited to
cause a stack-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into opening
an ".m3u", ".m3l", or ".asx" playlist having an overly long entry.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.1. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not open untrusted files with the application.
