DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in DiY-Page, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and
cross-site request forgery attacks.
1) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP
requests without making proper validity checks to verify the
requests. This can be exploited to e.g. change the password of the
administrative user by tricking an administrator into visiting a
malicious web site while being logged-in to the application.
NOTE: This can also be exploited to conduct SQL injection attacks.
2) Input passed e.g. via the "cataid" parameter to admin.php (when
"mod" is set to "modcp", "formod" is set to "dpcms", "item" is set to
"entryadm", and "do" is set to "list") is not properly sanitised
before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context
of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 8.2. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not browse untrusted web sites or follow untrusted links while
being logged-in to the application. Edit the source code to ensure
that input is properly sanitised.
