DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in Movavi Video Suite, which can
be exploited by malicious people to potentially compromise a user's
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the ConvertManager.dll
module when processing image files using the slideshow utility. This
can be exploited to corrupt memory via e.g. a specially crafted JPG
file containing overly large image width and height values.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code, but
requires tricking a user into creating a slideshow with a malicious
image file.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 9.3.2. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not open image files from untrusted sources.
